E3 2015 – Sony Press Conference – Live

SONY E3 2015 Press Conference

-Just a few minutes till the show. Some quick hopefuls: Uncharted 4, LOL THE LAST GUARDIAN?

-6pm – Press conference is live. Showing a sizzle reel for all the upcoming Sony games.

-Please welcome Shawn Layden. New reality of gaming is boundless. More than traditional gaming with the social connectivity. First game of the night, highly anticipated by the Sony community. Heroism and companionship, poetic story telling. Alluding to Uncharted? Nope, The Last Guardian. WTF!!?!?

The Last Guardian

-Trailer shows gameplay. The child and his beast. His giant, winged griffon thing. The child mimics jumping and the beast jumps across the valley, and waits. The player traverses down the ladder and makes the jump himself, but won’t make it, so his beast catches him on the other side. We command the beast via the child we play. Very much like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. More like ICO with map platforming puzzles. Incredible level physics destruction. We need to make the run as the platform starts to come apart. The griffon misses the catch but uses its tail. Incredible emotional puzzles involving both the player and out beast, as we climb on its back and assist its climbing the ruins. The beast act and whines like a dog, has horns and feathers and little wings.

– Sony has reintroduced The Last Guardian. 8 years after the first announcement. 2016. Acknowledge the visionary director behind the title.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

–Guerrilla Games Herman Hulst is up next. Makers of Kill Zone. Latest franchise. Captured on the PlayStation 4. Trailer starts in a cave covered in cave painting and hieroglyphics. Showcases Native Americans. Alludes to a time after the fall of man, of the big cities. Of the re-birth of a new planet as the cities faded away. New life. New tribe.

“The first to hunt, the first to raise our bows.”

The animals are now robots. A new take on the battle between man and machine.

-Game looks gorgeous. Huge techno dinosaur-like creatures. Smaller techno deer-like creatures. Traditional bow and arrow, but with arrow mods. Awesome destruction elements. Game play shows the huntress taking on a large robotic dinosaur with the bow and arrow, one on one. One bow mod is a grappling tether that can attach to the ground. Then highlighting the weak point, takes it down. Horizon: Zero Dawn.

“A storm is coming”

From the creators of Kill Zone, this game looks absolutely incredible.

Hitman

–Square Enix. Pre-rendered trailer showing an impressive future, celebrities, important people, and then cut with an agent running, cut to a sniper. New Hitman. The agent running in the woods was Hitman. Beautiful trailer.

-World premiere of the new Hitman. Exotic locations. High profile targets. Agent 47 returns. Most ambitious title to-date. Starting with a digital release.

-PS4 exclusive beta to PS4 first.

Street Fighter 5

-Starts with a gameplay trailer. Showcases some of the iconic fighters. Very cool gameplay with the same art style as the previous game. PS4 beta starts July 23rd.

No Man’s Sky

–Hello Games, Sean Murray. No Man’s Sky. Gameplay starts in the ship, and leaves the space station to space. Shows that we’re on the boundary of two warring factions where we can join in and take sides.

-Zooms out and shows our current location in the current solar system. Pulls back and shows more stars, that can be reached. Pulls back more! Forever more. Every point is a sun, and each sun has a solar system with planets and life. The map zooms out forever. Sean says most of these places have never been visited and may never be.

-We’re gonna pick a place at random, and travel to a place we haven’t been to. Procedurally generated galaxy, undiscovered. Scans of the solar system shows points of interest. Beacons are found, and this is where you can upload discoveries, as we land on the planet. Not the prettiest planet he jokes. “I’ve seen better”. Every planet is fully destructible. The planet’s sentinels show up and we walk away under water, and fish are shown. The beacon is found to upload our discovery. Every planet is new and unique.

-Will announce a release date soon. Trading, fighting, exploring, survival. It’s a huge game.

Dreams

–Media Molecule, makers of Little Big Planet. New game challenges our ability to create. Think of a dream like world. Share the dream space of others and share you creation to others. Game is like a moving painting. Using the controller at the paint brush. Quick, intuitive, and fun. Piece together a painting and then act it out, using controller performance capture as puppeteering. Quick trailer shows some of the dreams made with the tool: piano player, polar bear, space battles, teddy bear vs ground monsters, back to the piano player who is now a polar bear. Game doesn’t have typical polygons or animations. Art is fluffy looking.

Firewatch

-Intense mystery in the Wyoming wilderness. Firewatch. Blocky models and very colourful. Trailer is narrated by a woman’s voice and we talk to her throughout the adventure. First person forest adventure game. Dark and mysterious adventure.

Destiny

-Next great adventure in Destiny. Trailer announces Orix, the Take King. Follows the Crota Raid. Orix is out for revenge, as we killed his son, and is bringing a dark army to hunt us. Shows the new subclasses for each guardian. New enemies, new planets?

“Orix is coming. You’ve got his attention, now go get his head”

Destiny: The Taken King coming September 15th, 2015. Exclusive content on PlayStation.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

-Trailer starts with Jocob Frye’s voice, but the main focus is Evie Frye, his twin sister. Shows the new weapons for Evie, the cane-sword, and throwing knives. Exclusive missions called the Dreadful Crimes, for the PS4.

World of Final Fantasy

-Cute little trailer with cartoony characters.Welcome to Grimwoir. Show’s tiny monsters. Adorable enemies and heroes. Small in stature with a grand fate. Small and cute. PS4 and PS Vita. World of Final Fantasy.

-Very special treat from Square Enix. Trailer shows a revolutionary city, with ominous music. Jaws-like. Final Fantasy 7 Remake. First to Playstation 4. People are flipping out!

-4 new games from Devolver Digital:

Ronin – assassin-like 2-d sidescroller.
EITR – pixel hack and slash.
Mother Russia Bleeds, pixel gore brawler.
And Crossing Souls, cartoony adventure game.

–Shenmue 3? “Time to unfold the story.” Announced via Kickstarter. Yu Suzuki comes to the stage to discuss the project. Countdown to the kick off of the kickstarter. 5,4,3,2,1.

-Start funding. 2 million dollar goal.

Batman Arkham Knight

-Steam works type trailer, with old music. Joker. Batman Arkham Knight. :). Joker is in a furnace getting torched. Flames turn into the bat symbol.

-First person perspective of Officer Owens in a diner. Gets attacked by scarecrow and starts to seen crazy enemies. Scarecrow Missions exclusive for PS4.

-This game looks especially dark. and comes out next week. WOo!

Project Morpheus and Playstation Media

-VR landscape look awesome, providing such innovative game options for developers. Morpheus will allow co-op game play with other people. Multiplayer game Rigs is shown, 3 vs. 3 multiplayer arena game. Morpheus is a choice, add value to the console.

-Partnered Playstation Music with Spotify. Expanded Playstation View, live TV streaming service. Allow users to subscribe to individual channels, not ties to bundles. PS Plus members get discounted rates.

-Playstation is partnering with Activision to bring Call of Duty. Playstation gets COD first now.

Call of Duty Black ops III

-Deepest and most engaging COD ever, campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Gritty campaign, redesigned from the ground up. Load-out available before the mission starts, and supports 4 player co-op.

-Game looks good, and smooth. Starts in a ship, and we find the pilot with reenforcing bar stabbed through the chest. The ship falls and we need to leave. Very futurist looking. New powers available with the suit. Advanced battleground with lots of spider tanks and walkers. Ability to control friendly walkers. Level destruction looks amazing. Lots of digital HUD elements. Story sizzle reel trailer wraps up.

-David Vonderhaar – Treyarch. Introduce Black Ops III multiplayer. Game play trailer shows new powers and mobility, and female fighters. Underwater parts to the maps. Multiplayer looks fast and epic.

-New era with Call of Duty and Playstation. New home of Call of Duty, getting all dlc map packs first.

-Sizzle reel of upcoming titles. Hitman, Batman, Dues Ex, Mad Max, Uncharted, Horizon, Destiny, Metal Gear Solid, MLB, Street Fighter, LEGO, The Last Guardian, and Until Dawn. Ratchet and Clank too.

-PS Vita sizzle reel up next: Tearaway, Dreamers, Tony Hawk, among others.

Star Wars

-Star Wars music blasts into the arena. Shawn Layden is back to discuss Disney Infinity, Twilight of the Republic. Epic light-saber combat. Rise Against the Empire playset. Disney Infinity 3.0. Wold premiere trailer – Rise Against the Empire. Ends with Boba Fett.

–Star Wars Battlefront. Patrick Bach – DICE, comes to the stage. Here to discuss the co-op and solo game modes. Battle game mode, hero encounters, trials, and survival are the solo and co-op options for the game. Trailer debut for Survival – wave based gameplay. Shows storm troopers and shock troopers. Gameplay looks amazing with authentic sounds and blasts. Lots of sparks, like the movies. Split screen support. Tag line – Live out Your Fantasies.

Uncharted: A Thief’s End

-Small title up next, which requires no introduction. Only on PlayStation. Long delay here….

-Starts with a statue of Black Beard. Naughty Dog. Nate and Sully enter the shot, and open a large wooden door into a market. Gameplay shows lots of people milling about the market. Looks like the demo is having controller malfunction though. Nate’s not moving.

-Demo restarts with the Pirate statue. LOL. Woops. Visuals look amazing at least. Lots of interactions with the civilians. Gun fire in our direction, and the real demo begins. Amazing physics, and level destruction. Great animations as expected. Gun play looks a little more consistent and refined. Still Triangle to pick up ammo. Witty dialogue still apparent between Sully and Nate. Great dialogue.

-Amazing level platforming and the ability to drive vehicles. Different paths can be taken to avoid enemy gunfire. Great level destruction while driving. Seems we can drive anywhere. Come across a construction site, and have to go off-road. Enemy truck drives through the wall. Camera zooms in on Nate and Sully to show highlighted points of interest.

-Driving sequence is amazingly detailed. Following a convoy now, off-road. Nate jumps up front and tell Sully to grab the wheel. We grapple on the truck and swing under the bridge and the truck attached to the convoy. Demo ends when we are about to crash into a wall.

-Press conference over.

-Phew. Typical with Sony’s Conferences, there’s no room for breathing, just game after game. They’ll probably break the internet with FF7 and The Last Guardian, and Uncharted 4.

-E3 Day Zero is over. Tomorrow I’ll talk about Square Enix’s conference. Hopefully more info about Hitman and Dues Ex.

-I’ll prob discuss a little more about my thoughts and opinions on each announcement, and what has me most excited.

E3 2015 – Ubisoft Press Conference – LIVE

UBISOFT E3 2015 Press Conference: #UBI3

-Just a few minutes away from the Ubisoft press conference. Quick hopefuls: Tom Clancy’s The Division, Assassins Creed Syndicate, Rainbow Six: Siege.

-3:00PM – Time for Ubisoft.

South Park

-The epic RPG returns. An all new South Park game. Announcement trailer. Not a fantasy RPG, but a super hero game, South Park, The Fractured, but Whole.

-Aisha Tyler of course, introduces Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Continues the story of Stick of Truth. Kids are playing super heroes now.

-Aisha Tyler reassures us that Ubisoft does listen to their fans. And realize that 2014 and 2015 was not the best year with bugs and launch issues. Keep sending feedback.

For Honor

-Yves Guillemot, CEO is on stage. Ubisoft has been a company that does takes risk. Announce a new IP and a new genre: Pre-rendered trailer showing knights and vikings. Sword fighting in epic battles. Castles and Knights. Lots of bloody sword fighting. Seems to be transitioning between generations. For Honor.

-Knights, Viking and Samurai. Creative Director Jason Vannenburg, introduced a new type of gameplay called the Art of Battle. Feel the game, feel the combat. Bring your friends.

-8 players come to the stage to show a live multiplayer demo, 2 teams of 4. Large battlefield, hundred or so enemies, knights vs samurai. Brutal sword fighting and execution kills. You can sense the weight of the weapons used. 4 v 4 multiplayer demo on the showroom floor.

The Crew Expansion and Trials Fusion Expansion

-Aisha is back to discuss two more games. The Crew up first, new expansion pack. Quick in-game footage trailer. Monster Trucks!! Drift races. Drag races. Motorcycles and dune buggies. November 17th, complete graphic overhaul with new vehicles and modes. The Crew – Wild Ride.

–Trials Fusion Awesome Level Max expansion. A WTF trailer??? A cat riding a fire breathing unicorn? Whisker physics, anyone?

Tom Clancy’s The Division

-Ryan Barnard, game designer for The Division. Showing the dark zone. Can work alongside other agents, or fight against them. This is no man’s land. Trust no one.

-Snow wasteland in New York. Small squads starts to sneak up on a group and get flanked. Unsure how they’ll react but they decide to help. Seeder mine tool is shown, and small gun turret. Heading off to the park, the other players have joined up. “Cleaners” are shown. Flamethrower enemy type, but the group has loot so they don’t want to risk the interaction. Can call in for extraction. Need to defend for 90 seconds.

-Squad turns their back on the new strangers to steal their loot before extraction. 3rd member of the main squad decides to leave the group and take out everyone. Reinforces the do-no-trust-anyone in the dark zone functionality. Dick mood, sir.

-Game looks amazing. Hands on playable on the show floor. Beta’s on Xbox One , PS4 and PC next year. Releases March 8th, 2016 on all platforms.

ANNO 2205

-A Blue Byte Production, We’re leaving earth to the moon. New IP. Trailer shows a big facility and colony on the Moon. Zooms out and shows the entire moon has a population. ANNO 2205.

-Game starts on Earth, where you need to raise your city, and develop resources. Sort of like a Civ game then? A race to space?

Just Dance 2016

-The biggest music video game franchise of all time. Now you can use the smart phone as a controller. Also will work with the camera for consoles. Live dance demo with Jason Derulo – Want to Want Me. Typical Ubisoft. This October on all last-gen and this-gen platforms. Something special for WiiU, PS4, and Xbox One – streaming service, Just Dance Unlimited. Dance on Demand Subscription for all new fresh content.

Rainbow Six: Siege

-New CG story trailer. Biological threat. Shows biochemists. Rainbow Six: Siege. Close quarters combat. Everything is destructible. Once you die, you stay dead. Angela Basset is introduced. Plays the role of Six, leader of the counter-terrorism unit. They discuss what it’s like to do voice acting for the video game.

-“More to Siege than multiplayer“. Terrohunt is back. Playable solo or with friends. Features the most difficult AI to date. Live Demo. Shows the breaching and drone tools. In co-op, communication is key. Destruction is incredible – blast little holes for viewpoints. Team makes it into the room to defend. Things get real intense.

-Beta starts September 24th, 2015. On All platforms, PVP and Terrohunt available in the beta.

Trackmania Turbo

-Coming from PC to consoles with all its tracks. Trailer shows the F1 car dropped onto the track from a helicopter and shows the wacky and wild race tracks. 4 player split-screen support. Time based races in the solo campaign. Fast crazy tracks with loops and banked turns and jumps, and obstacles. Game is fast. 200 tracks across different areas, modes and difficulties.

-Random track generator. Terraforming. Track creation, and details. Jump in and play within seconds on the new track. millions of auto-generated options. Rollercoaster style tracks.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

-Trailer shows the new world based in London. Trailer shows the gangs and street life. Horse & chariot gameplay returns. Guns will be more prominent this time. Fast brutal combat a mainstay. Trailer shows bar brawls. Showcasing Jacob Frye as the main protagonist. Doesn’t show his twin sister.

“Join the Rooks”

-Game takes place in 1868, right in the middle of the Industrial Revolution. First modern Assassin’s Creed game. Two Assassins and their gangs trying to remove the crooks from the streets and bring the streets back to the people.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

-Yves Guillemot comes back on stage for one last presentation to end the show. Group in Paris working in secrecy for the next announcement:

-New Trailer: “Death is a Saint”. Skeleton and skulls. Trailer shows money and blood, and a Golden Gun. Pre-alpha game footage. New update on last year’s extreme sports game by the looks of it?

-First mission shows a group on the mountain tracking cocaine sales, sniper takes out the leader and the trailer jumps to dune buggy off-road chase. Next mission shows a stealth option, another lab. Lab is blown up, and the heroes race off. Next mission is an ambush option. Full assault with drones and assault rifles.

“How do you fight an enemy that doesn’t fear death?”

-Massive Open World. Trailer shows all the different terrain and modes of transport. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Like The Crew, but essentially a better version of Mercenaries. Awesome!

E3 2015 – EA Press Conference – LIVE

EA E3 2015 Press Conference:

–Just a few minutes away. Quick hopefuls: Mass Effect 4, Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror’s Edge 2. I’m also expecting all the sports line-up 2016. More info about NHL 16. Hopefully more info about the Need for Speed reboot too.

Mass Effect Andromeda

-1:00pm: Time for EA. Starts with Mass Effect 4 concept art trailer, and zooms out to our new Shepherd with the Omnitool. Show’s space.

“Discover a new Galaxy”

-Shows the planet vehicle and new combat. Mass Effect: Andromeda. Holiday 2016.

– Sizzle reel to showcase 3 new original IP. New sports titles, and Mirror’s Edge later in the show, and finally Star Wars. Games for console, PC, and mobile, with the finale of the show is Battlefront.

Need for Speed

-Up next is the return of Need for Speed. Live action story trailer. Definitely Need for Speed underground feel. Night driving in an open city. Inspired by the history of the series. Customization of NFS Underground, and open world of Carbon. Multiplayer and connectivity of Rivals. 2x the size of the Rivals map. Realistic world and iconic cars. Richest customization ever in a NFS game.

-Fully open world. The 5 pillars of a Need for Speed game combined into one game: Speed / Style / Build / Crew and Outlaw, all combined into one game. November 3rd, 2015.

-In-game cutscenes are live action, transitions into the customization window for the car. Dozen of points of customization for the vehicle. Transition into the open streets and racing. Game looks gorgeous. Cinematic chase camera. Cops get involved almost immediately. Minimal HUD. Very much on the DICE Frostbite engine with particles and HUD artifacts. Race ends and the play needs to escape the cops.

Star Wars The Old Republic

–Star Wars The Old Republic – New expansion: Knights of the Fallen Empire. Bioware style story. Free expansion for all subscribers. Quick pre-rendered story trailer.

Unravel

-EA plans on having more trials and Betas to get more fan feedback earlier. New IP up next.

-First one up: an emotional and creative experience centered on a character with a huge heart. This is Unravel.

-Yarn game, sort of like Sackboy, Little Big Planet. Yarn unravels as we move. Yarny is the main character. Exploration game to find the proper path. Physics based gameplay to overcome obstacles. Quick trailer to show the story and gameplay. Very heartwarming game. player uses the yarn to swing or pull objects, and is always leaving a trail of yarn.

Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2

–Plant’s Vs Zombie mascot hits the stage to music. Gets quickly escorted off the stage.

“You can’t take zombies anywhere.”

–Plants vs Zombie Garden Warfare 2. Plants on the attack for the first time in game’s history. New strategic layer of depth to the levels. Game game play demo. Shown the ZomBoss factory, a new level. Zombies have taken over and created Zomburbia. Now plants are on the attack to get their world back.

-New class – Imp. Playing as zombies, defending the factory from the invading plants. Live gameplay being shown. Smallest and fastest class. Next up. SuperBrainz, new melee class. CaptainDeadbeard is shown next, the zombies new sniper class. New power ups and weapons are shown. Imp calls down a Titan, and now its time to evacuate after the level has been completed. Sensing a Titanfall vibe here :).

-GW2 now supports a solo play against AI or local split-screen. Transfer characters from GW1 over to 2 on launch. GW2 will launch Spring 2016. Game will support free content updates after launch. Game promises to be fun, and hilarious. Quick trailer sends us off showing a slew on new maps.

EA Sports

–NHL 16 up next. Voiceover of a coach behind the scenes hyping up the players in the dressing room. Team is at the heart of NHL 16. EA Sports Hockey League is back.

–Rory McIlroy PGA Golf now uses the Frostbite Engine. Real course and fantasy courses.

–NHL and Madden incorporate training modes to help you become a better player

–NBA Live 16 up next. Gameface HD scanning tech. You can use a mobile phone to capture the face, incorporates into the game. 5 secs to generate a preview. Pretty impressive. Sept 29th release for NBA Live 16. new free-flowing movement engine, 1000’s of new animations. Completely rebuilt passing and dribbling animations. New shot system to release the ball when you want. New game mode to be revealed later this summer. Quick trailer – captured in-game.

-Mobile games time. Need for Speed No Limits. Fifa 15 Ultimate Team 2nd screen on the Apple Watch.

–Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes CCG card playing game. Across the whole Star War Universe.

–Minions Paradise. A builder game. Quick trailer about the main character, Phil, who ruins everything. Seems like a mobile micromanagement game. Available later this year.

FIFA 16

–FIFA 16 is up next. Quick historical trailer is shown. Pele comes to the stage – “the greatest football player of all time”. Story time about the history of the sport and the introduction to the sport in the USA. Football – the beautiful game.

-More innovation this year. Compete at a higher level, and new ways to play. better defense mechanics. Interception intelligence. No-touch dribbling. New trainer also incorporated into FIFA.

-For the first time ever, women’s teams are now in the game. More news throughout the summer.

-Quick trailer wraps up the FIFA portion- Play Beautiful.

Mirror’s Edge

-Experience the rise of faith. Mirror’s Edge is an origin story for faith. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. More colour. Shows a new city. Trailer shows the backstory to Faith. New traversal and parkour.

-To be released February 23rd, 2016. In-game footage trailer.

Madden NFL 16

-Draft champions discusses Fantasy Football. Similar to Madden mobile and Ultimate Team, but incorporated into the console version of Madden 16. Taking fantasy to another level. Can bring your drafted team solo or online.

-Passing mechanic has been overhauled. Focused on 3 new positions. Quarterbacks has new body relative passes. Receivers has new catch types: possession catch, run-after-catch, and aggressive catch. Defenders. We can now play the receiver, and can interrupt passes as defenders. Game launches August 25th. E3 Trailer player – captured in-game.

Star Wars Battlefront

-An array of multiplayer modes. Ability to fly X-Wings. Play as one of the legends. Solo and Split-screen missions also available.

-Gameplay: Walker Assault one of the largest modes. Empire must escort the AT-AT walkers. As the rebels, you must stop them. Captured from PS4 from both perspectives. Battle of Hoth. Shows the rebels running around the Hoth base defending incoming enemies. TIE fighters overhead and AT-AT incoming. Game is a first-person shooter or 3rd person shooter. Can call in orbital strikes. Can fly as the bombers. Looks amazing and sounds authentic. Bombers have the tow cable to trip the walkers. Can fly as the TIE fighters. Pilot the AT-AT. Explosions seem authentic. Lots of sparks. First person and 3rd person flying. Legends are on the battlefield too. Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker are shown.

E3 2015 – Xbox Press Conference – LIVE

MICROSOFT E3 2015 Press Conference:

Halo 5: Guardians

-The show starts with Halo 5 Guardians. We are playing as Spartan Locke, and are introduced to the new squad based gameplay showing squad commands. Game is fast, and smooth. Similar enemies are shown with some new weapons.

-Josh Holmes comes to stage, from 343 Studios stating that Halo 5 Guardians is the most ambitious title to date. We play as two different squads in this campaign, one as Master Chief and the other Spartan Locke.

-New multiplayer mode coming with Halo 5. 24 players and 4x the size of previous maps. Game mode is called Warzone. Player vs Player vs Everyone. Teams of 12 vs 12 plus campaign enemy AI in the map.

Recore

-Xbox Exclusive World Premiere – Trailer. Sandy planet. From the creators of Metroid Prime. Showing a scavenger girl and her robot dog. The dog sacrifices itself to defend of the encroaching enemies, but its energy globe remains. The spark gets put into a new robot, and the dog’s personality is back. Game is Recore. 2016. Exclusive first-party franchise.

Backwards Compatability

-The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer takes the stage.

-Xbox continues to put out monthly updates, and the latest one right around the corner is Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility. That’s huge. Xbox 360 and Arcade games will work natively on the Xbox One. 100 titles will be supported this holiday, with more coming. Our retail discs will work. All the Xbox One framework will be supported in the 360 titles: Screenshot, DVR, Broadcast. Won’t be charged to re-play the games we already own.

Fallout 4

–Fallout 4 is up next. Added story trailer that wasn’t shown last night. Showcases the laser musket rifle and the power armour in action. In the streets, we come across a huge baddie that climbs out of the sewers, named Deathclaw. Power armour uses VATS as well.

–Fallout 4, with Xbox One will support the PC community mods for free. Checkout the Bethesda Press Conference for more Fallout 4 info.

Ea Access

-Peter Moore, from EA comes out and starts to talk about EA Access. Rehashes Early Access to EA titles with EA Access, and play for less. The Vault has the best of EA on Xbox One. Madden 16 will have early access, and Titanfall is going to be released in the Vault later this week, and later this summer, Dragon Age Inquisition will be available.

-Peter announces Plants vs Zombies Garden Warafre 2. Arriving next spring. Quick trailer showing some new plants and zombie. Welcome to Zomburbia.

Forza Motorsport 6

-New GT drops drown from the ceiling and Forza Motosport 6 is on display next. Discusses the 50th anniversary of the GT and the win at the 24 Le Mans. New trailer is shown showing upgraded visuals, 24 car multiplayer, day and night races, and weather. Sept 15th, 2015 release date.

Dark Souls III

-World premiere. BANDAI NAMCO, FromSoftware, Dark Souls 3? Desolate medievil setting. Yup Dark Souls III. Coming 2016.

Tom Clancy’s The Division & Rainbow Six: Siege

–Ubisoft is up next to quickly discuss Tom Clancy’s The Division. I’m guessing we’ll get more info during their press conference. Laurent Detoc is on stage. Bonjour. The Division is a deep realist RPG with a personal touch. Exclusive Xbox early Beta this December.

-He moves onto Rainbow Six: Siege. Quick trailer. Coming out this October, now included in the bundle, thanks to the Xbox One backwards compatibility will be Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 for free.

Gigantic

-Windows 10 and Xbox One exclusive. Very cartoon and stylized art. Colourful. Game is called Gigantic. Free to Play arena combat style game. Choose your hero, choose your guardian.

ID@Xbox and Xbox Early Access

-ID@Xbox games showcase next. Sizzle reel of upcoming titles.. Introduction to some of the ID teams showing the exclusive Xbox games coming later this year and next year: Tacoma, Ashen, Beyond Eyes, Cuphead.

-Xbox Game Preview announced. Like Steam’s Early Access. While the game is still in active development. You get a free trail before you decide to pay for the game’s early access. 4 games available later this year: The Long Dark, Sheltered, Elite Dangerous, and DayZ. 2 titles start today for early access.

-Dean Hall – from DayZ to announce his new game. He wants a simulation MMO that explores space. New trailer for upcoming Early Access Game. ION.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

-Brian Horton. Crystal Dynamics. Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay reveal. Holiday 2015. Starts with Lara in a mountain cave with a flare. similar walking mechanics where Lara braces herself against the wall. Snow traversal. Jonah from the previous game is back for the ride. Cinematic mountainside climbing. Avalanche starts and Lara books it, leaving Jonah behind. Level based destruction during running sequences similar to the previous game, but expanded. Hunting is back. Bow and arrow are back. Bigger, detailed tombs. More ambitious game. November 10, 2015. EXCITED!

Oculus, Valve VR, and Hololens

-New relationship with Valve VR for Windows 10. Xbox partnership with Oculus. We will be able to play Xbox One through Oculus Rift. Microsoft Hololens powered by Windows 10.

-Lydia Winters from Mojang (Minecraft) comes to the stage to show up a live demo of Minecraft using the Hololens. From playing minecraft right on to wall, to having a game overview right on the table. Hololens and Minecraft look very cool. Ability to watch players in the world with an overview. Scroll the wold, pinch to zoom. Very cool technology.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition & Gears of War 4

–Gears of War Ultimate Edition finally confirmed. Updated and modernized for the next-gen. August 2015 release. Rebuilt for 1080p 60 fps. The original trilogy.

-Xbox One World Premiere: New Gears of War trailer. It’s a night time level, like the original reveal waaay back when. With flashlights. Gears music. New weather elements and level destruction. Chainsaw gun is back. New monsters. Very dark ominous level. Feels very much like Gears. Gears of War 4, holiday 2016.

-Phil Spencer is back to rehash this years line-up, backwards compatibility, ea access, virtual reality gameplay. Announces that at Gamescon later this year we’ll have new info about Crackdown, Scalebound, and Quantum Break.

Quick sizzle reel for the biggest blockbusters on Xbox One coming later this year and next.

E3 2015 – Bethesda Press Conference #BE3

BETHESDA E3 2015 Showcase :

–Bethesda‘s first stand-alone press conference at E3 starts big, a day before E3 officially starts. It starts off with a promo video showcasing the staff and different studios under the Bethesda umbrella. It then moves onto a promo trailer showing its recent games in: Skyrim, Dishonored, Rage, Battlecry, Wolfenstein, Doom, and The Evil Within.

-Pete Heins takes the stage to epic music.

“Welcome to the first ever press conference for Bethesda Gameworks. Welcome all.”

DOOM

-The show starts off with DOOM. id Tech 6, or id Tech 666 ;). Marty Stratton takes the stage, from id Software. DOOM based on 3 foundations: Bad-Ass Demons, Big F’n Guns, and Fast Movement. Trailer based on mars again, and the game looks gorgeous and runs smooth. We’re in a mining facility, lots of molten steel. Climbable objects, brutal melee, lots of blood. Double Barrel shotgun is brutal, blowing enemies to chunks. Boost jump, and climbable platforming – more verticality. Game is fast and smooth, and slows down, slow-motion, when switching weapons. Showcases a lot of different weapons, chainsaw being the highlight. The melee looks contextual. Body part specific melee.

–DOOM multiplayer, fast paced arena mode, showcasing power-ups and vertical levels. Quick trailer shows what the DOOM multiplayer will look like.

-Next quick trailer announced DOOM Snapmap. Community in-game mod tools allows players to create their own maps and game types that can be shared to the online community. Shared across all platforms.

-Before Marty leaves, we’re back into the single player mode, in Hell. A couple new guns are shown, with difficult combat with new baddies, and the boost jump-stomp. The enemies get highlighted in either a blue or red coating which means melee is an option, not sure what the difference between the two colours mean. Final stand-off between the main guy and a HUGE bad guy where the BFG is brought up and fade-to-black. DOOM is announced for Spring 2016 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

-Pete Heins is back on the stage talking about DOOM Snapmap. He announces the network background for all their current games, and game in the future: Bethesda.net. This is where content creation will be housed.

Battlecry

-Team Fortress style game is showcased, showing the work that’s been done of the past year. Cartoony art style showing lots of different characters and attacks. Sign-up for the global beta is open now.

Dishonored 2

-Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio directors at Arkane Studios on the stage to talk about Dishonored. FPS, stealth based story. Trailer for Dishonored 2: Pre-rendered video showing the new world, new powers, new bad guys, new hero? A new female protagonist. And a brief glimpse at the original mask. Fade.

-Two optional playable characters this time.

-Lastly, Dishonored Definitive Edition, HD remake with DLC – available this fall.

Elder Scrolls Online

-Now available on the consoles with the latest update Tamriel Unlimited. Quick trailer showing the new content.

Elder Scrolls Legends

-Strategy card game – with the Elder Scrolls heroes and history. Free to play, on PC and iPad.

Fallout 4

-Pete Heins jokingly says the conference is over, much to the crowd’s chagrin. Heins gets confused at the crowd’s dismay, and the fans chant Fallout 4. He quickly remembers why everyone is here.

–Bethesda has won 3 consecutive Game of the Year awards with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim.

-Todd Howard is introduced and comes to stage. Howard says the E3 is the best week of entertainment ever. Games are the best form of entertainment.

-The team started designing Fallout 4, after Fallout 3 back in 2009, but obviously had to do so slowly, as they were working on Skyrim. Discusses the teams attention to detail, showcasing the concept art of Fallout. Quick art reel.

–Fallout 4 starts in the world, before the bombs start falling. Player creation starts. Option to play as a female. Quick tour of the house and the world before the bombs. References to the past game’s notables, with Nuka Cola, or Sugar Bombs. Next up, registration for the Bomb Shelter, where you set your vital stats. The city sirens start blaring and everyone is running towards the vault, when the atom blast detonates.

-Skip ahead, 200 years later, sole survivor of Vault 111. Introduction to the wasteland. Enormous dynamic world. Create who you want, go where you want, do what you want. Player freedom is priority #1. Dynamic volumetric lighting is shown. Conversation system still a mainstay. Conversation are dynamic, and the game can be played in first person or 3rd. You can walk away from a conversation whenever you want.

-Introduced to the dog, Dogmeat, and dog commands. Everything is contextual.

-VATS is back, and shows slow-motion bullets.

-Game is based in downtown Boston. Quick reel of the many different locations that can be visited.

-Introduction to the new Pip-boy. Showcases layered armor system. Mini-game options in the Pip-boy. Real edition of a Pip-boy that supports a cell phone available in the collector’s edition, and has a pip-boy app as a second screen experience.

Fallout Shelter – iPhone Game

-Vault micromanagement game based in the Fallout world. Vault dwellers can level up, and can be sent out to the wasteland to gather resources and collect items. Vault can grow with new additions.

-Game is free. No timers, no internet connection required. Available tonight.

Back to Fallout 4

-Player can rebuild the world, in-game, in real time. People will arrive to your settlement. Can build crops, and power generators. Can run wires to terminals and lights, and defenses. You can build your own little settlement and community. Need to build defenses as the settlement will get attacked by raiders.

-Many settlement sights are available throughout the world that can be grown and built up. Completely optional.

-Crafting works on weapons too. 50 base weapons and over 700 modifications for those weapons. Can even modify our own power armor.

-Play how you want: FPS, 3rd Person, or through VATS. Quick video showing the variety of the game, weapons, and characters. Play how you want.
